I completed my undergraduate degree in psychology at Istanbul Bilgi University, where I developed an understanding that individual mental health is deeply connected to social and cultural contexts. To deepen this perspective, I earned a Master’s degree in clinical and community psychology at the University of East London.
During this time, I conducted research on stigma and psychosocial effects experienced by individuals living with HIV in Turkey. Subsequent to my studies I spent four years providing psychosocial support at centres working with vulnerable children, adolescents, and families. I also volunteered at a centre which provided support for migrant women who were survivors of domestic violence.
To deepen my theoretical and clinical knowledge in psychotherapy, I completed a second Master’s degree at the Faculty of Psychoanalytic Studies at Paris Cité University. During this period I gained further practical clinical experience in adult psychiatry, addiction, and cross-cultural psychiatry, and wrote my master’s thesis on migration experiences and addiction processes.
I now offer individual psychotherapy for adults and adolescents, registered as a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist in the RPPS system under the French Ministry of Health.
